Diarrhea of a Madman: Pennsylvanian Hunger Strike
2019 brought the release of the debut album Boofoo Queen's Angriest Stories Ever Mentioned after a massive advance that was used for debauchery and parties in LA and Las Vegas with pregnancy tests still pending. The debut album received near universal acclaim even topping streams in both Apple Music and Spotify. Pressure from Filthcake Records mounted as per the contract signed, Diarrhea of a Madman was required to record a second album by the end of 2019 or would be considered in breach of contract. In summer of 2019, Effluvia were still in the studio recording what was to be Return to Ponders Corner at the time so Wayne had to find a way to record songs and release them on time as well as on budget...even though the budget was blown from the wild parties and pending child support from several possible pregnancies in different states, or resort to strategies akin to Breaking Bad or becoming a male gigolo. Wayne saw an idea in July 2019 with the old shed in his backyard with relatively decent acoustics as well as a junk 8 Track Cassette Recorder and began setting up in that shed. The plan was to record the material within a one week timespan; after several complaints for violation of neighborhood noise ordinances as well as suspicions of sacrifices due to missing goats from a neighbor's backyard, the material for Diarrhea of a Madman's sophomore album Pennsylvanian Hunger Strike was complete. No goats were harmed during recording, they were just in the very back of the property eating blackberry bushes....and worshipping darkness and evil.
